I’m the founder of The New Evangelicals, a progressive Christian nonprofit I started in 2020 to challenge Christian Nationalism and advocate for a more inclusive, justice-centered faith. I also co-host The Tim and April Show, where we talk about the intersection of faith, politics, and culture. You can also find me every Monday on The New Evangelicals podcast where I interview guests at the forefront of faith, politics and culture. 
 
I grew up feeling at home in evangelical spaces until my questions, studying, and pursuit of deeper understanding made it clear that I was no longer welcome. That loss was heartbreaking, but it didn’t end my faith. Instead, it pushed me to dig deeper into Christian history, theology, and the ways power has shaped the church.  
 
Today, I use my platform to respond to current events, share pieces of my personal journey, and help people (especially those without an evangelical background) understand the real dangers of Christian Nationalism. 

As a Christian who has given his allegiance to the way of Jesus, my work centers on educating a wide audience on what Christian Nationalism is and I unpack the theology and culture of White Evangelicalism to help you understand the Christian supremacy that is animating the MAGA movement.
